Our Values
The Regional Investment Support for Entrepreneurs (RISE) Platform is a USAID funded, Swisscontact managed project that provides technical assistance (TA) to growth-oriented enterprises in Southeast Asia. RISE aims to create impact for the base of the pyramid through providing inclusive and sustainable support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with high potential for positive social, economic, and environmental impact. RISE is managed out of Cambodia but operates in the region which includes Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam
RISE is managed by Swisscontact. The mission of Swisscontact is as follows:
We promote inclusive economic, social and ecological development to make an effective contribution towards sustainable and widespread prosperity in developing and emerging economies.
With this objective in mind, we offer the chance to economically and socially disadvantaged people to improve their lives on their own initiative.
The RISE Platform was born out of a USAID sponsored co-creation workshop in Bangkok in 2017 where a collection of donors, investors, and implementers gathered to collaborate and generate new models that could support both social impact companies and investors in the region. The resulting initiative is managed by Swisscontact.
Swisscontact, the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation, is an independent, non-profit foundation based in Zürich and founded in 1959 by leading figures from the Swiss private sector and universities. Swisscontact has been active in Southeast Asia for more than 30 years.
