Bilingual (Spanish/English) NPO Outreach Assistant (Volunteer)
Currently, Copalana is trying to find and forge more rewarding partnerships within Latin America.
We’re looking for someone to help us with day-to-day communications between Copalana and interested non-profits and individuals, primarily in regards to volunteering.
Most worldwide outreach to non-profits is done by our head of Communications, in English. We’d like you utilise your Spanish and help us with deepening this connection, making sure that both non-profits and the individuals looking to volunteer are getting the most out of our platform and ecosystem.
We anticipate around 5 hours of work per week (we are generally very flexible as to your schedule), and you can work from wherever you like.
- Proofreading of written communication (newsletters, emails, documents, etc.) in Spanish
- Co-ordination and co-hosting of virtual meetings for volunteers and non-profits (including webinars and meetups)
- Leading video meetings with Spanish-speaking non-profits and providing interpretation where necessary
Requirements
- Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish and English. Native level is preferred but not mandatory. As long as you are fluent enough to communicate effectively with groups and individuals and be able to explain the basics of our platform in Spanish, and liaise with us in English.
- Experience within the non-profit space and/or volunteering preferred
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Reliable internet connection for video calls and familiarity with Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Office / Google Docs
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 5 hours a week of work
